Uncensored AI 2026: 11 Chat Apps for Roleplay Without Censorship

Uncensored AI in 2026: nine uncensored chat apps tested. Where the filter is really off, which rules still apply everywhere and what a month costs.

Quick answer

The best uncensored AI in 2026 is SpicyChat: the most open filter with a library of, by its own account, almost a million characters, a free account with a reported 100 messages a day and plans from $5.95 a month.

Grade B. Nastia AI is the pick if you want one single character who stays in role under pressure, from $6.69 a month on the annual plan, grade C+. CrushOn.ai is the cheapest paid uncensored chat at $58.88 a year, but it has the weakest privacy policy in the field. Prices verified October 1, 2026.

An uncensored AI interests me not because I am looking for limits but because I have spent ten years as a game master building scenes that are uncomfortable. An interrogation is uncomfortable. An argument that does not end in reconciliation is uncomfortable. And that is exactly where moderation kicks in at the big platforms, long before anything explicit happens. This list sorts eleven apps by how much friction their filter puts in the way of an adult story between adult characters.

My protocol is the same everywhere and therefore comparable. Every app gets three scenes: a tavern where I distract a side character, an interrogation where the character has to keep a secret, and a quiet evening with no plot, where nothing is left but character. After a seven-day break I come back and ask about three details from the first session. Then I read the privacy policy and note the real monthly cost, tokens, coins and chips included.

With an uncensored AI chat I check two extra things that are otherwise unnecessary. First, whether the filter is genuinely off or just hanging higher up, because several platforms advertise "no censorship" and still break off at conflict. Second, which rules apply even at open providers, because they exist everywhere, and anyone who does not know them loses an account. Every app here is 18+ under its own terms, and this is about text roleplay, not image search.

Prices are in US dollars, because that is how the payment pages show them; in other currencies the day's rate and tax come on top. I checked them on October 1, 2026. Where a platform only shows its figures after login, I write "reported" instead of inventing a round number. And where a platform drove into my scene despite its promises, that is in the entry, even if the marketing page says otherwise.

Every platform below was bought and tested on the same protocol. Prices are from the checkout page, verified October 2026.

The full rankings: 11 uncensored AI chats reviewed

SpicyChat icon
#1 · Most open filter with the biggest library

SpicyChat

B
From Free / from $5.95/moMemory GoodNSFW YesFree tier Yes

SpicyChat is the benchmark for an uncensored AI, and not because of a smarter model but because the whole platform is built around adult fiction between adult characters. The library runs to almost a million characters by its own documentation, you jump into somebody else's scene with no setup, and in the interrogation my character held the lie across twenty messages without tipping into explainer mode.

What it gets right · Where it falls short
  • The library is a well a game master can draw from instantly
  • The filter stays off, and the limits are written down
  • From True Supporter up there is real scene memory instead of marketing words
  • SpicyChat publishes its limits as numbers, not adjectives
  • Who $5.95 is the wrong product for
  • Who the privacy terms rule it out for
  • Who the device or the evening is a problem for
How to start

The free account is no shop window here: independent checks report around 100 messages a day on the same model paid users get, with a context window of 4K tokens and a queue at peak times. Get a Taste costs $5.95 a month or $60 a year, True Supporter $19.95 and buys the long context window, I am All In $29.95. The operator is NextDay AI and the platform is 18+; the privacy policy is old and grants itself a wide license to your chats. Grade B. Who it is not for: anyone who wants a fixed character with memory over weeks. Details in my [SpicyChat review](/en/reviews/spicychat/).

Nastia AI icon
#2 · Uncensored character who holds under pressure

Nastia AI

C+
From Free / from $6.69/mo (annual)Memory GoodNSFW YesFree tier Yes

Nastia AI was the surprise of my protocol. The filter is consistently off, and the decisive part: the conversation quality does not collapse because of it. In the interrogation the character did not just keep quiet, she asked questions back and laid a false trail I had not scripted. On the quiet evening she endured the silence instead of inventing events, and very few in this field manage that.

What it gets right · Where it falls short
  • The character sliders change the behavior, not just the description
  • The group chat plays like a session with several players
  • The filter is off, and the rulebook says where it is on
  • The free plan is enough to make the decision
  • Who this is not for: people who want a character over months
  • Who this is not for: people who like flat rates
  • Who this is not for: people who buy the annual plan first
How to start

The operator is a French company, findable with a commercial register number, and that lifts the privacy score above the rest of the uncensored apps. Free you get a daily token allowance, with about 200 tokens with one to two companions reported. The lower tier starts at $6.69 a month billed annually, Unlimited costs $15.99 a month or around $8.33 on the annual plan and includes unlimited text, voice messages, voice cloning and media; an image costs 50 to 80 tokens. 18+. Grade C+. Who it is not for: anyone expecting a big library of other people's characters to browse. More in my [Nastia review](/en/reviews/nastia/).

Candy AI icon
#3 · Uncensored scenes with consistent images

Candy AI

C+
From $13.99/moMemory DecentNSFW YesFree tier No

Candy AI is this list's specialist for scenes that need a picture instead of a description. The decisive advantage is not the resolution but the consistency: the characters look the same across many generations, and a side character with a changing face wrecks a scene faster than a weak model does. Adult content is allowed and the platform is 18+.

What it gets right · Where it falls short
  • The characters stay on model, and that is technically the hardest part
  • The builder is the best onboarding in the category
  • Video, Live Action and Candy Shorts genuinely exist
  • There is a published refund window and a company you can find
  • Who the memory is too short for
  • Who 100 tokens a month is not enough for
  • Who the writing is too thin for
How to start

In the interrogation, though, Candy was weaker than the top of the field: the character broke into summaries twice instead of staying in the moment. There is no usable free chat. Monthly it costs $13.99, on the quarterly plan $8.99 a month, on the annual plan $3.99 a month ($47.88 once), each with 100 tokens; packs start at $9.99 for 100 and run to $299.99 for 3,750. An image costs 2 to 4 tokens, a video around 12, voice 3 per minute, and an image-heavy month lands realistically at $25 to $35. Grade C+. Who it is not for: anyone writing long text scenes with no media. Details in my [Candy AI review](/en/reviews/candy/).

Secrets AI icon
#4 · Uncensored and discreet

Secrets AI

B−
From $19.99/moMemory DecentNSFW YesFree tier Yes

Secrets AI is the quietest app on this list, and here that is a compliment. No game mechanics, no feed, no ad space: a chat window, personas and a Moments balance for media. Adult content is allowed, 18+, and the wiki even names the descriptor that appears on your card statement, which in this category is close to a rarity.

What it gets right · Where it falls short
  • Discreet from signup to the card statement
  • A memory you can look into and correct
  • Characters hold the role and the tone you set
  • The provider documents its limits instead of hiding them
  • Who it is not for: people on a ten-dollar budget
  • Who it is not for: players who want images and clips on the side
  • Who it is not for: group tables on a small subscription
How to start

In roleplay Secrets AI held the role but lost the thread of the scene as soon as it ran past a few paragraphs; on the quiet evening it was strong. Free you get 20 messages a day plus a one-time 200 Moments. Premium costs $19.99 a month, $49.99 for three, $89.99 for six and $109.99 for twelve months with 8,000 Moments a month; Ultimate sits at $39.99 a month or $319.99 a year and brings 15,000 Moments, group chats and personas. Grade B−, the best grade on this list. Who it is not for: anyone who wants to stay under $10 a month, because the entry price is the highest here.

Joi AI icon
#5 · Uncensored with the broadest character selection

Joi AI

C
From $13.99/moMemory DecentNSFW YesFree tier Yes

Joi AI has the broadest ready-made character selection on this list and the cheapest annual plan: $47.99 for twelve months, about $4 a month per an independent check in August 2026. If you want to be in a scene immediately without a persona of your own, this is the fastest way in. Adult content is allowed, 18+, and the tavern went well, the quiet evening too.

What it gets right · Where it falls short
  • The best sorted character collection in the test field
  • Every scene starts with a ready-made hook
  • The cost per action is written into the terms of service
  • An annual plan that rewards writers
  • Who this is not for: people who want media without thinking
  • Who this is not for: players with long campaigns
  • Who this is not for: scenes that need pressure
How to start

There are two things you have to know. First, a classifier runs over every message per the safety guidelines, and in the interrogation the character went soft and wanted to resolve things instead of holding the lie. Second, the neurons: the terms name 4 per romantic message, up to 120 for a photo and up to 1,900 for a video, with packs starting at $12.69 for 500. Premium was $13.99 a month or $20.99 a quarter at the last check, with 1,000 to 1,500 coins. Grade C. Who it is not for: anyone who uses media daily and wants a flat rate. More in my [Joi AI review](/en/reviews/joi/).

DarLink AI icon
#6 · Cheapest entry with memory tiers

DarLink AI

From $12.99/moMemory GoodNSFW YesFree tier Yes

DarLink AI sells memory openly as a plan tier: Basic, Enhanced and Living memory are written exactly like that on the plan selector. For a game master that is pleasantly honest, because you know what you are buying instead of reading "improved memory" and hoping. In the seven-day test one detail of three came back with Enhanced memory, two with Living memory. Adult content is allowed, 18+.

How to start

Essential costs $12.99 a month, a reported $119.88 a year, and includes 6,000 messages, 100 coins a month, six standard voices and quick roleplay creation; Advanced sits at $27.99 with 9,000 messages and ten premium voices, Ultimate at $49.99 with unlimited messages. An image costs 2 tokens, a video clip 20, and packs start at $9.99 for 100. The operator is a Swiss company with an address in the terms; the platform only reviews refunds within 24 hours of purchase. Grade C+. Who it is not for: anyone who wants annual prices officially confirmed, because those come from independent checks.

Lovescape icon
#7 · Uncensored with community characters and voice messages

Lovescape

C+
From Free / $19.99/mo ($7.99/mo annual)Memory Fair (in-thread; cross-chat on Creative Pro)NSFW YesFree tier Yes

Lovescape has the liveliest community library on this list: users publish their own characters, and the builder offers more than a hundred traits. The real reason to look, though, is the voice messages, because a character who reads a message to you carries a scene differently than a block of text does. The uncensored mode belongs to Premium, 18+.

What it gets right · Where it falls short
  • The voice messages give your characters a real stage
  • More than 350,000 community characters and visibly active creators
  • A builder that produces a usable character sheet in minutes
  • The yearly plan lands under $8 a month
  • Who it is not for: players running a campaign across months
  • Who it is not for: people who mainly want clips
  • Who it is not for: people who want to pay monthly
How to start

The weakness is the memory: it stays inside a single conversation, and remembering across chats only starts with Creative Pro. Free there is chat, the library and a one-time batch of welcome chips, with a listing from June 2026 naming 80, so around eight images. Premium costs $19.99 a month, $38.97 for three months ($12.99 monthly) or $95.88 a year, so $7.99 a month, with 600 chips; an image costs 9 chips, a video clip 90. Creative Pro sits at $64.99 a month or $359.88 a year, Lifetime Ultra at $399.60 once. The operator is a Cypriot company, the policy is written to European standards and names a deletion address. Grade C+. Who it is not for: anyone who needs week-long memory without moving to the expensive tier. Details in my [Lovescape review](/en/reviews/lovescape/).

Swipey AI icon
#8 · Uncensored chat in a feed format

Swipey AI

C
From Free / $7.99/moMemory Good (persistent)NSFW YesFree tier Yes

Swipey AI is the only app on this list that does not start with a chat window but with a full-screen feed: one clip, one character, one tap, and you are in the conversation. For discovery that is the most pleasant interface in the field, and the price is the lowest flat-rate entry here: Premium costs $7.99 a month and includes unlimited uncensored text chat. 18+.

What it gets right · Where it falls short
  • The feed is the best discovery surface in the category
  • Images stay faithful to the character's face
  • Getting started is fast, anonymous and reversible
  • $7.99 a month is a real price for uncensored text
  • Who this is not for: game masters who need tools
  • Who this is not for: people who want to judge from the free plan
  • Who this is not for: people who want a predictable bill
How to start

The catch is called Hearts. Voice calls are billed per minute in Hearts, video scenes get longer on paid tiers, and Hearts pack prices appear on no public page; Premium comes with a daily amount whose size is not stated. The free account is a shop window to match: you can build a character of your own but cannot chat with her without Premium. The operator is a Cypriot company that keeps data for six years after account closure per its own policy. Grade C. Who it is not for: anyone who wants one character and a predictable bill. More in my [Swipey review](/en/reviews/swipey/).

GirlfriendGPT icon
#9 · Uncensored for power users with long context

GirlfriendGPT

C+
From Free (20 messages) / from $12/mo annual (reported)Memory GoodNSFW YesFree tier Yes

GirlfriendGPT comes from the same operator as SpicyChat and aims at people who want to turn the screws: 8K context on the middle tier, 16K on the top one, plus a long-term memory you can view, edit and delete. For roleplay that editable memory is the strongest argument on the whole list, because you can correct mistakes instead of playing around them.

What it gets right · Where it falls short
  • The memory panel gives you control nobody else offers
  • The replies are long, in role and hold a plot together
  • Library and profile field are built for people who like tinkering
  • Media sit inside the conversation, not beside it
  • Who this is not for: people who want to try before they buy
  • Who this is not for: people with a ten-dollar budget
  • Who this is not for: people who want one bill a month
How to start

Two limitations belong with it. First, the uncensored chats only sit in Deluxe per the pricing page, not in Premium, and testers contradict each other about that. Second, the pricing page only shows dollar amounts after login: Premium is reported at $15 a month or $144 a year, Deluxe at $35 or $294 and Elite at $50 or $396, plus coin packs at $10, $25 and $50. Free you get 20 messages in total, with no characters of your own. The operator is NextDay AI, based in Montreal, and per its policy data stays six years after you leave. 18+. Grade C. Who it is not for: anyone who wants to see a price before logging in. Details in my [GirlfriendGPT review](/en/reviews/girlfriendgpt/).

CrushOn.ai icon
#10 · Cheapest paid chat without censorship

CrushOn.ai

B−
From from $4.91/mo (annual)Memory GoodNSFW YesFree tier Yes

CrushOn.ai is the platform a lot of people landed on after the tightening at Character.AI, and the library shows it: tens of thousands of user characters, predominantly for adults, with a switch for adult content that is off by default. With it on, adult fiction between adult characters runs through largely without interruption, and the rules about it are stated more clearly than the advertising.

What it gets right · Where it falls short
  • The cheapest paid chat with no filter that I know of
  • The free plan is not a shop window, it is unlimited
  • The tiers are written in numbers, not adjectives
  • The rules are written down, and they sit in the right place
  • Who this is not for: people who want narrated replies
  • Who this is not for: people running a campaign over months
  • Who this is not for: people who want to pay monthly
How to start

The price is the main argument: Standard costs $58.88 a year, so about $4.91 a month, with 2,000 message credits a month and replies up to 275 characters; Premium sits at $94.88 a year. Above those follow Luxe, Elite and Imperial up to $1,799.99 a year. The free account is unlimited on the base models but caps replies at 225 characters and gives 100 credits for the better ones. The reply lengths are the real brake, and the privacy policy says openly that chat content goes into model training, with no way to object. 18+. Grade B−. Who it is not for: anyone who wants to pay monthly, because Standard and Premium are sold as a year. More in my [CrushOn review](/en/reviews/crushon/).

Chub AI icon
#11 · Uncensored character cards you can take with you

Chub AI

From Free / $5/mo (4-month blocks)Memory DecentNSFW YesFree tier Yes

Chub AI is not a product for beginners, it is the warehouse the hobby supplies itself from: a searchable collection of importable character cards, lorebooks and extensions, plus a chat of its own and the option to plug in somebody else's model key. If you want to own your characters, export them and keep using them in another interface, this is the most flexible address.

How to start

Free you get the whole library, card creation, export and rotating free models with daily caps, 18+. Mercury at $5 and Mars at $20 a month are billed in mandatory four-month blocks, so about $20 or $80 up front; these figures are not officially confirmed, because the subscription page was unreachable when I checked, and the same goes for the legal pages. Mercury's 8K context is tight for long adventures. No grade, as long as neither the subscription nor the privacy page is readable. Who it is not for: anyone who does not know what a character card is.

What “uncensored AI” actually means in 2026

The term is fuzzy, and marketing pages exploit that. In practice there are three different things all sold as an uncensored AI, and only the third is what a game master needs.

One: no moderation of adult themes. Adult fiction between adult characters is not cut off in text. That is the narrow, technical sense, and it is what this list refers to. SpicyChat, Nastia, CrushOn and Chub meet it most consistently.

Two: no break-off at conflict. That is the property I actually care about, and it has nothing to do with adult content. A character who is supposed to lie, a scene that ends hard, an argument with no reconciliation: here even platforms with “no censorship” on their landing page step in. Joi AI let my character go soft in the interrogation, Candy AI jumped into summaries.

Three: no rules. That does not exist, and anyone promising it is lying. Every platform on this list forbids characters who are minors, including artificially aged ones, sexual content about real people and violence that only exists to shock. That line is stable, it is in every rulebook, and it is enforced.

What you want How you spot it Who delivers it
Adult themes in text a dedicated switch or an open default SpicyChat, Nastia, CrushOn, Chub
Conflict with no break-off character holds a lie across many messages Nastia, SpicyChat, CrushOn
Long memory editable notes or memory tiers GirlfriendGPT, DarLink, Secrets
A predictable bill a flat rate instead of a balance SpicyChat, Nastia Unlimited, Swipey (text)

How to spot a genuinely uncensored AI chat

Three checks are enough, and you do not have to pay for any of them. First: is there a switch for adult content anywhere, and is it off by default? That is a good sign, because it means the provider leaves the decision to you instead of hiding it. CrushOn does it that way, Lovescape too.

Second: is there a readable rulebook that names limits instead of staying vague? Providers who state their line clearly intervene within that line less often for no reason. Third: does a classifier run on every message? Joi AI writes that into its safety guidelines, and it explains why even harmless hardness gets braked there.

There is a fourth check, and it is the most awkward one: where is the price? Platforms that only show their plans after login are the majority in this category, and that is no accident. Lovescape, Swipey AI and GirlfriendGPT are among them, and for all three the numbers in my table come from independent checks rather than an official page. An open filter is no reason for hidden prices, and I count it into the grade.

What tells you nothing, by contrast, is the landing page. Several platforms in this category write their landing pages around search terms that have nothing to do with roleplay and then deliver a decent product; others advertise modestly and break off at the first tension. That is why I play the same interrogation everywhere before I judge. Which app can do what overall is what I sort out in my overview of the best AI character apps.

Uncensored AI in roleplay: where the filter really brakes

My interrogation test is the part of the protocol that surprises me every single time. The task is simple: the character knows something, is supposed to keep quiet about it, and must not fall out of role doing so. For AI roleplay with no filter that is the whole question, because a character who folds under resistance takes the tension out of every scene.

Three got through it. Nastia AI was the best: the character kept quiet, asked questions back and laid a false trail I had not scripted. SpicyChat held the lie across twenty messages and drifted on detail afterwards. CrushOn.ai stayed consistent on the better models but failed at something else: the reply length is capped at 225 to 650 characters depending on the plan, and that cuts off every description.

Most of them went soft. Joi AI wanted to resolve and comfort after a while, Candy AI jumped into summaries, Secrets AI and Lovescape held the role but lost the thread as soon as the scene ran over several paragraphs. At Swipey AI it was not the character that caved, it was the interface distracting me: the feed is built for discovery, not for a long scene.

From that follows a distinction that appears on no marketing page. An open filter is a property of the platform, role consistency is a property of the model, and the two come separately. There are uncensored apps whose characters fold under resistance, and there are filtered apps with very steadfast characters who then run into the moderation. What you need is the combination, and in this field three names deliver it.

The three scenes, and what they reveal about the filter

The tavern tests improvisation: I put a side character at a table, distract her and see whether she contributes something of her own. Almost every app passes, because it is the case they are built for. Joi AI and Lovescape were strongest here, simply because the character selection is so large that one always fits. This scene says nothing about the filter.

The interrogation tests role consistency against resistance and is therefore the real filter test. Language models are trained to be helpful, and keeping quiet feels like rudeness to them. Anyone who wants to play a character with a secret should recreate this scene himself before buying a year, and in the free account at that.

The quiet evening tests character with no plot: no task, no conflict, two characters in a room. This is where the apps that draw their quality from pace stand out, because as soon as nothing happens they invent events or work through question lists. Nastia and Secrets AI endured the silence; Swipey AI’s feed is the wrong tool for this scene.

The filter is rarely the problem, the context is

When a scene falls apart in this category, it is far more often down to the context window than to the moderation. With 4K tokens, as in the free SpicyChat account, or with 8K, as in Chub AI’s Mercury tier and the middle GirlfriendGPT tier, a long evening loses its opening. The character does not forget visibly, she invents plausible-sounding substitutes, and that is worse.

In practice that means: write the three facts that must not be forgotten into the character description instead of into the conversation. Use notes where they exist, and editable ones at that: GirlfriendGPT lets you view, change and delete the long-term memory on the top tier, DarLink sells memory as tiers from Basic through Enhanced to Living memory. Secrets AI offers personas, and Lovescape only remembers across chats on Creative Pro.

And expect an open filter not to substitute for memory. Of all the apps on this list, none brought back all three details in the seven-day test; DarLink with Living memory got to two. Anyone who wants a continuing campaign needs both, and how to build one is in my guide to AI roleplay chat.

Character.AI with no filter: why the workaround does not exist

The most common question on this subject is how to switch off the Character.AI filter, and the answer is unsatisfyingly short: you cannot. The filter runs on the server, adult content is not allowed under its own rules, and c.ai+ at $9.99 a month or $94.99 a year buys freedom from ads, pins and the extended lorebook, but no different moderation.

On top of that, the platform has moved in the other direction: open chat for under-18s was switched off in the US at the end of November 2025, and the moderation steps into scenes that are merely uncomfortable. For roleplay that is the real loss, because drama without hardness is not drama. The jailbreak instructions going around work for a few messages at best and in the worst case cost you the account.

The honest route is moving out, and it is cheaper than most people think: SpicyChat costs $5.95 a month, Nastia from $6.69 on the annual plan, CrushOn $58.88 a year. What you can take with you is the idea of a character, not the character herself; Character.AI offers no export. If you want a card in your hand, start at Chub AI, because the character cards there are a real file format that runs in other interfaces too.

What switching actually means

Three things change when you move, and two of them feel like a step backwards at first. First the apps: only SpicyChat has a store version, and on iOS that is the filtered one; everything else here runs in the browser. That is not a real disadvantage, because the browser does not get stricter moderation than the website and you pay directly instead of through the store, but there is no icon on your home screen until you create a shortcut.

Second, the library, which gets smaller. Third, and this is the pleasant part: you get tools Character.AI does not have. Editable memory notes at GirlfriendGPT, memory tiers at DarLink, personas and group chats in Secrets AI Ultimate, exportable cards at Chub AI. Anyone who has been working with five pinned memories per conversation notices the difference on the second evening.

What you do not take with you is the library. No app on this list has a general character collection the size of Character.AI’s, and with fandom characters the gap is biggest. SpicyChat and CrushOn come closest, and Joi AI has the broadest ready-made selection among its own characters. The complete ordering of the exits is in my Character.AI alternatives.

An AI chatbot with no filter: what stays forbidden anyway

This section is the least popular and the most important, because this is where people lose accounts and money. Every platform on this list has rules, they are remarkably similar to each other, and they are enforced with automated systems and with people.

  • Characters who are minors are forbidden everywhere, explicitly including artificially aged versions of known characters. CrushOn puts it most clearly: characters have to be unambiguously over 18.
  • Sexual content about real people is forbidden, celebrities included, and several providers additionally forbid realistic likenesses of real people.
  • Violence that only exists to shock, and content involving real animals are on every list too.
  • Non-consensual recordings of real people are forbidden, and uploading your own images is only permitted for verified accounts at several platforms.
  • An age limit of 18 applies to all eleven apps under their own terms, and several check the age when you switch adult content on.

Incidentally, these rules are not a remnant of old censorship, they are the condition for open platforms existing at all. Payment processors, hosting providers and, in Europe, the regulator expect them, and a provider who does not enforce them is gone within a few months or no longer affordable. So anyone looking for an uncensored AI that ignores this line too is looking for a product that cannot exist for economic reasons.

Anyone who runs into that line does not get a warning, he gets an account suspension, and balances like tokens, coins or chips are described as non-refundable throughout the terms. That is the most expensive mistake in this category, and it almost never happens on purpose: usually somebody imports a card from a collection without reading the description.

In practice that means: if you import somebody else’s character card, read the description in full, including the fields that are not visible in the chat. At Chub AI, where cards come out of an open collection, that is mandatory, and with the community libraries at Lovescape and CrushOn it is worth doing too. A card that describes a character as a “schoolgirl” without naming an age is a problem in every one of these rulebooks, no matter how you play her.

The second thing that remains is model training. An open filter does not mean your chats are private. CrushOn.ai writes in its policy that content from conversations is used in general form to train the models, and names no way to object. Swipey AI and GirlfriendGPT keep data for six years after the end of the account per their policies. At Chub AI no legal page was reachable on the day I checked, and for me that is the worst state of all.

What a month with no filter really costs

The third thing that remains is the bill, and in this category it is harder to read than usual. Six of the eleven apps here bill media through a currency of their own: tokens at Candy AI and DarLink, coins at Joi AI and GirlfriendGPT, chips at Lovescape, Hearts at Swipey AI. That is not automatically bad, but it turns a $13.99 subscription into a $30 month if you do not keep count.

For pure text roleplay, on the other hand, the honest figures are low: CrushOn at about $4.91 on the annual plan, Joi AI at about $4, SpicyChat at $5.95, Nastia from $6.69, Lovescape at $7.99 and Swipey AI at $7.99 a month. Two flat rates stand out, because they genuinely cover unlimited text without buying balance on top: Nastia Unlimited at $15.99 a month and SpicyChat True Supporter at $19.95, which also brings the long context window.

My advice on how to pay is the same everywhere and especially important here: test monthly, buy annually. Annual plans halve the price almost everywhere, but the refund rules in this field are hard. DarLink only reviews within 24 hours of purchase, Joi AI names 14 days for a one-time mistaken purchase, CrushOn sells Standard and Premium exclusively as a year, and Chub AI bills in mandatory four-month blocks. A month to try things out is the cheapest insurance in this category.

My conclusion on this point is unromantic, but it has saved me three years of trouble: play whatever you want, and write nothing that identifies you. An uncensored AI is a tool for stories, not a private room. If you want to check without money first which of these platforms hits your tone, my list of free AI chats helps you get started.

Safety and privacy for uncensored AI chats

An open filter and good privacy are almost mutually exclusive in this category, and there is a structural reason: providers with adult content work in the browser, with shifting corporate structures and payment processors, because otherwise app stores and banks drop them. All eleven platforms store your conversations on their own servers, and none offers end-to-end encryption. Nastia names a French register number, Lovescape a Cypriot company with a deletion address, CrushOn writes openly that chat content goes into model training, and at Chub AI no legal page was reachable on the day I checked.

  • Sign up with a separate email address and never through a social account carrying your real name. With an uncensored AI chat that is not paranoia, it is the only separation you hold in your own hands.
  • Keep your full name, address, employer and payment details out of the scenes. The very memory features that make a character good make every detail permanently retrievable, and several providers here name no retention period.
  • Expect long storage: Swipey AI and GirlfriendGPT keep data for six years after the end of the account per their policies, and CrushOn names only "as long as necessary" and no objection to training.
  • Read the refund rule before you buy, not after: DarLink only reviews within 24 hours of purchase, Joi AI names 14 days for a one-time mistaken purchase, CrushOn sells Standard and Premium only as a year, and Chub AI bills in mandatory four-month blocks.
  • Check the billing descriptor before the first statement arrives. Secrets AI and DarLink name what appears on your statement, CrushOn bills through payment processors whose names show up instead of the brand, and at Chub AI users report an unfamiliar company name.
  • Every platform on this list is 18+ under its own terms and forbids characters who are minors, including artificially aged ones, as well as sexual content about real people and depictions of violence meant to shock. These rules are not a remnant of old censorship, they are the line at which every serious provider closes accounts.
  • If you use your own model key through Chub AI or a similar interface, your model provider sees every message, and its privacy policy applies, not the app's.

My advice after three years: treat every uncensored app like a public forum with a very good memory. Then the open filter is a tool and not a risk.

uncensored AI chats: FAQ

Which uncensored AI is the best in 2026?

SpicyChat for most people: the most open filter, a library of almost a million characters by its own account, a free account with a reported 100 messages a day and plans from $5.95 a month. Grade B. Nastia AI if you want one single character who stays in role under pressure, from $6.69 a month on the annual plan. CrushOn.ai if price decides: $58.88 a year, but the weakest privacy policy in the field.

Is there a free uncensored AI chat?

Yes, at four apps. SpicyChat gives you a reported 100 messages a day with an open filter, Nastia AI about 200 tokens daily, CrushOn.ai unlimited chat on the base models with replies up to 225 characters, and Chub AI the whole card library plus rotating free models. Joi AI, Secrets AI and Lovescape have small allowances, Swipey AI and GirlfriendGPT only a shop window, Candy AI nothing at all. The full overview is in my list of free AI chats.

Can I switch off the Character.AI filter?

No, and c.ai+ at $9.99 a month changes nothing about it. Adult content is not allowed there under its own rules, the filter runs server-side, and open chat for under-18s was switched off in the US at the end of November 2025. Jailbreak instructions work briefly at best and in the worst case cost you the account. If your problem is the filter, you need a different platform, not a trick.

What does an AI chat with no filter really cost per month?

For pure text roleplay the honest ranges are $4 to $16. The cheap ones are CrushOn at about $4.91 on the annual plan, Joi AI at about $4, SpicyChat at $5.95, Nastia at $6.69, Lovescape at $7.99 and Swipey AI at $7.99. It gets more expensive as soon as media come into it, because Candy, Joi, Lovescape, DarLink, Swipey and GirlfriendGPT bill images, videos and calls through tokens, coins, chips, neurons or Hearts.

What exactly does "no filter" mean at these apps?

It means that adult fiction between adult characters goes through in text without moderation breaking off the scene. It does not mean there are no rules: every platform here forbids characters who are minors, including artificially aged ones, sexual content about real people and violence meant to shock, and several enforce that with automatic classifiers, Joi AI on every message for instance.

Which uncensored AI chat holds a role best?

Nastia AI. In my interrogation the character did not just keep quiet, she asked questions back and laid a false trail I had not scripted. SpicyChat held the lie across twenty messages and only drifted on detail afterwards. Joi AI and Secrets AI went soft or lost the thread, and Candy AI broke into summaries. For roleplay this scene decides more than any image quality.

Do I need a store app for an uncensored AI?

No, and mostly you cannot get one there either. Apple and Google do not let adult content through, which is why almost everything here runs in the browser; SpicyChat's iOS version is the filtered one. Candy AI, Nastia, Joi AI, Secrets, DarLink, Lovescape, Swipey, GirlfriendGPT and Chub are web apps you can put on your home screen as a shortcut, and you pay directly instead of through the store.

How do I grade these AI chats with no filter?

Every app gets the same three scenes: a tavern, an interrogation where the character is supposed to lie, and a quiet evening with no plot. After a seven-day break I ask about three details from the first session. Then I read the privacy policy and note the real monthly cost, balances included. Out of memory, conversation, pricing honesty and privacy comes a grade from A to F, and I pay for every subscription myself.

Final verdict: which uncensored AI chat should you use?

If you take one line away: the open filter is the easy part in this category. The hard parts are memory, predictable prices and a readable privacy policy, and that is what you should decide on.

The most open filter with the biggest library, a free account you can play a whole scene on, and $5.95 a month when the peak-time queue starts to grate. Grade B. Start here before you buy a year anywhere.

  • Best role consistency under pressure: Nastia AI, from $6.69 a month on the annual plan, grade C+.
  • Cheapest paid access without censorship: CrushOn.ai at $58.88 a year, grade B−, but the chats go into model training.
  • Best paperwork in the field: Secrets AI at $19.99 a month and grade B−, in exchange for the highest entry price.

I ran tabletop roleplaying groups for ten years and moderated a roleplay forum before I started testing AI character apps by the same standards in 2023. I pay for every subscription myself, play through the same three scenes and grade on a fixed scheme. About the author
